Mr Bean shares broadband tips
• Check your hardware and software settings
• Check your sockets and wiring
• Check your download allowance; make sure your provider hasn’t capped your speed
• Check that your antivirus software isn’t out of date
• Make sure no one is hacking your broadband; password protect your network
• Test the time of the day; some times of the day are busier than others
• Contact your provider and ask for help if all the above fails
Ultimately, it’s worth speaking to your supplier to see if your speed can be increased, this is particularly relevant for those who have had their connection for a long time and may still be on deals capped at a speed below that which your line can support.
