Friday 30^th April.

Even though it was the last day before a Bank Holiday weekend break; the decisive weekend in the Premiership; the culmination of many hours of snooker at the Crucible; the last week of campaigning before we exercise our democratic right – a small (but perfectly formed) number of MBBCers risked the traffic and assembled in Blackfriars

Our advice from Mark was “121s are brilliant, you should try them” great start to the session. Will followed up with more advice, but completely forgot to tell us who he was, what he did, and who he would like to meet.

We listened to members trying to make their standard 60 seconds sound interesting (which they did in fact); we listened to Nigel and failed to understand him (nothing new there then).

A couple of members made the mistake of being specific in referrals – we now look forward with interest to Graham (pause..) Heap actually following up before he has to pay late fees.

Ren made his last appearance, having joined another company in deepest Wigan to pursue his career as the cool dude on a bike who makes being switched on an art form.

And good wine – well, wine anyway. All referrals collected and numbered; my number came up; good news – I won the wine; bad news, I had to produce this blog!

Even when there is a Bank Holiday to distract you, networking works …. try it
