Networking events usually take place in bars, restaurants and spas so when a colleague recommended the MBBC the last place I expected to find myself was outside a Racquets Club in Salford at 7am on a Friday.
The unique setting - plush couches and dark wood furniture - gives the air of a gentleman’s club (not the Stringfellows kind) but once you have navigated the sea of testosterone, it’s actually a great place to do business. With a full English breakfast digesting and good coffee flowing, business referrals were flying left, right and centre.
So what does MBBC have that sets it apart? Firstly, it has been running for over 10 years – a true testament to its staying power on the somewhat oversubscribed networking scene. Secondly, it’s a supportive and welcoming atmosphere and you can be assured that you will be the only business from your sector there, further encouraging businesses to grow.
MBBC – creating its legend in an unlikely place.
