Emergency First Aid at Work
Prima Cura Training is offering an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) open course.
This accredited & nationally recognised one-day course will teach you how to respond if a relative, friend, or complete stranger becomes unconscious, suffers cardiac arrest, is choking, or bleeding.
The course will cover:
- The ability to act safely and effectively when an accident or emergency occurs
- Treatment and priorities of care for an unconscious patient
- Recognition and treatment of a person in seizure
- Recognition of cardiac arrest and delivery of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Use of Defibrillators (AED)
- The ability to recognise and safely treat a patient who is choking
- The ability to safely and promptly treat a patient who is bleeding
- The ability to treat a patient safely and promptly with burns
- Serious Medical Conditions (seizures, heart attack anaphylaxis etc)
- The keeping records following an accident at work.
This course meets regulatory requirements for Health & safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is sufficient for all types of workplaces/organisations.
